- Lucy is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Law Society of Kenya. She is an experienced litigant handling both contentious and non-contentious matters. She has dealt with criminal and civil litigation matters involving but not limited to, family disputes, land disputes and insurance claims.
- She has been a redoubtable lawyer in prosecuting and defending insurance matters mainly personal injury claims, both contentious and non-contentious succession matters and land disputes. In criminal litigation, she has a bias in matters relating to children in conflict with the law and has successfully represented them.
- Lucy holds a Bachelor of Laws LL. B (Hons) from the University of Nairobi and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She currently serves as the advocate in charge of the Murang’a branch.
Lucy’s achievements include:
- Participated as lead legal counsel in a tort of negligence action where the victim was awarded damages to the tune of Kshs.2, 600,000.00.
- Participated as lead legal counsel in a tort of negligence claim where the victim was awarded damages to the tune of Kshs. 657,000.00
- Part of a legal team that reviewed contractual documentation in a conveyance of property involving a contractor setting up a quarry and camp site.
- Successfully defended children in conflict with the law.
- Currently defending an accused person at the High Court, who at the time of commission of the offence was mentally incapacitated.
- Successfully handled various contentious and non-contentious matters in the succession and environment & land courts in Kenya.
